it depends. Do you have a check engine light? If you are experiancing the one that i had which happened between 2500-2800 RPM's, the engine would basically bog and choke, and you had to accelerate slowly to get out of that range. I fixed this by replacing my 02 sensor on the headers. But i had a CEL which i knew meant my 02 was bad and causing the problem.

But if you are referring to where right when you step on it, the car stutters for a SPLIT second, i dont think there is a fix for that. That's just normal and i'm not sure of the cause of that.

So after dealing with Nissan consumer affairs for the past 3-4 weeks, and being handed off to 3 different regional specialists, their solution today was "bring your car back to the dealer and have them call Nissan Tech line"

4 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!! of "we are trying to get in touch with the dealer and we'll get back to you"

today they have the nerve to call me and say "ok go ahead and bring the car back to the dealer"

GAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't believe you are experiancing the same problem. Your car is having problems accelerating which could be at fault of a bad 02 sensor or various other reasons.

Our cars are accelerating just fine but it feels like your riding in a bus with a bad driver. (very shakey and choppy)

anyways, i'm done of trying ot deal with this problem. I experiance it 3 times a day and i've taken it to the dealership 4 times and they can't diagnose the same problem.(bad luck i guess...sigh)

Guys, My Car Is Acting Up Too... I Have Logged My Car While Happening, Send The Data Sheet To Nisssan Technical Support And They've Been Talking About Oil Weights... I Had 10-30 And I Changed It To 5-30... Also This Problem Did Not Happen While Using Octane 100 But As Soon As I Go Back To Straight 93 (w/o Octane Booster) The Problem Comes Right Back CAN EVERYONE PITCH IN ON THE GAS/ OIL WEIGHT THEY'RE USING?

5W30 and 93 mostly shell whenever possible. if you need another car to test I'm in the area as well, although I have HFC's.

well, it seems that we are all using the same problem... techline has another 12 cases open in the nation, but the problem is it only happens before the vehicle reaches proper operating temperatures, so it's a guessing game for what i can see...I got two guys trying to crack this, (w/ the help from nissan) so, let's see how it goes...

tourinz, please let us know at the first sign of any update. My friend, who is a mercedes benz service writter gave me a pretty good theory about how it might be an uneven pressure plate in the transmission or something like that. Said that as the transmission heats up(which would explain why its a very predictable time from a cold start) the pressure plate metal will expand and if it's uneven or something like that it oculd be the problem. I've taken his theory into consideration and so everytime the "sputtering" kicks in, I feather first gear, and unless i'm just imagining it, it does seem that the problem goes away faster. The only reason why i don't think it's something in the transmission is because the exhaust sound changes.

^ that sound change in exhaust is what concerns me the most. this problem could be related to our variable valves .
