Build date associated with problems? [post here]
I did a search on this and I'm suprised no one has tried to associate problems with their Z to your build date. I'm trying to see if there is a trend from later built '03 Z's to the first ones....So far no problems, even though I've had my Z for only a week...
Production Date: March/'03
Problems: None so Far.
What about the rest of you guys?

Steering rack&pinion failed
Steering pump contaminated
tire feathering (only the right wheel feathers)
new transmission (3rd gear grind... then 4th and 5th started grinding too)
window streaks (minor)
fuel won't fill to the top (happened once or twice)
What problems DONT I have?
Bouncy ride (feels more planted than my 01 celica GT)
clicking seat

Just as a comparison: My 1990 240SX--second year build--had the following problems:
Paint mismatch on rear side panel (found it after I brought the car home from dealer)--dealer repainted side.
Tach went out 2 days after purchase: dealer replaced tach.
During test drive to check tach (by service man) a rock hit the front windshield and cracked it: dealer replaced windshield.
All this just within the first week!

The Brembo's come with a higher friction pad than standard brakes. It is completely normal for them to squeal a little bit at low speeds. The noise is a trade off for higher initial bite and greater fade resistance.

Grease on driver's window (doesn't even bother me)
Tiny bit of orange peel (I wouldn't even call it a problem, but some do)
Slight pull to the right, steering wheel slightly off-center (I bet it just needs an alignment)
Tranny has hard 2nd gear shifts when gear oil is cold (its actually improved with mileage, so I'm waiting)
There was a dash rattle but it went away mysteriously
Tons of brake dust (not a problem but a PITA and still easily fixed)
No signs of tire feathering yet at 2800 miles.
