Default 350z engine light, TCS light and slip light all ON...

Recently I just buy a 2nd hand 350z.... it has been in an accident, but it was fixed... I notice several problems...

1.
While I am driving, sometimes the odometer will jump up and down and the H-C meter will drop to C....

Then the engine light, TCS, SLIP will light up....

I try reset the Engine light with the manual method a few times, but it is still happening..

anyone know if i can find some way to fix it??

2.
Also today I was adjusting my headlight for 45min while the HID is on... then when I want to start up my car.. the battery is low......... does that mean it is time for a new one??

Please someone helps.. Thanks.

You might have a bad ground on your first issue or a crimped wire from the accident. Finding it might take some time.

However, if your battery was low ... It might cause these issues. I'd have it tested and replaced if needed. Then if you electrical problems go away you know what the problem was. Otherwise, start looking for a loose conection on those systems and tracing them out. If you do not have the electrical experience / time it might cost a little to figure this all out.

The Engine light could be something else all together. I'd have that code checked. It could be as simple as a reset or a bad 02 sensor.

Good luck !!!

Don't the lights indicate the coil pack going? In Maximas it did, anyways. Could also be the alternator, I think. Go to Autozone and have the alt checked - it's free.

I had issues with both tcs and slip lights going off at the same time, I had a bad ipdm. engine light never went off for me though. dealership should be able to check it out for you if the other fixes dont work.

45 minutes leaving your HID's on will drain the battery. .but a low batt is probably the cause of your issue's. .try replacing the batt 1st. .and if those lights keep coming on. .there's a few things that it might be. .ie. bad cluster/ecu/wiring bad due to accident. .

Go to autozone/pepboys/etc.. while your dash lights are on and have the codes read.

i'd never go to pepboys for even parts. .but autozone does do FRE code readings. .get the code and go to this site for a quick reference. .

Thanks everyone!

I am thinking if I add the grounding kit and voltage stabilizer will fix the problem....?

very very doubtful. I'd say have autozone run the codes or go to a trusted dealer/shop.
