what's wrong with my car?
So this morning, I started my car to see that the brake and battery light lit up on the dash, moreover, the steering wheel won't even turn unless I use all my force. I did have my steering wheel replaced recently from nissan under warranty. I just drove it yesterday and it was perfectly fine, and I replaced my battery about 3 months ago. Does anyone know what is wrong? Could it be that when Nissan replaced the steering wheel, they didn't tighten something and now it's loose?

move your steering wheel back and forth while insterting your key and turning it on...sometimes the steering wheel locks up. i dont know if this is what happened, but its worth a try.

really hard to steer? sounds like the Power steering is not working, maybe a belt came off? if the power steering isnt working you would have to overcome the pressure in the pump to turn the wheel which is why it would be very hard to turn.

hmmm..
Possible causes:
Low tire pressure: Check and adjust tire pressures.
The wheels are out of alignment: Have the wheels aligned.
The power steering box or rack or power steering pump is bad: Repair or replace steering gear or pump as required.
The fluid level in the power steering reservoir is low: Fill fluid to proper level.
The power steering drive belt is damaged or broken: Replace power steering drive belt.
The steering gear needs to be lubricated or repaired: Lubricate or replace steering gear parts as required.

Edit: I see you're using an underdrive pulley. That could also be the culprit.
