Default Chip in Hood of New Z

I just got a small but noticeable chip in my paint. How should I take care of this? Should I take it to a pro? How much would it cost or should I get some touch up paint.

well ive seen turtle wax colored wax at autozone you could give that a try personally i have never used it but comes with a chip repair thing or something you could check it out

touch up paint is another option im pretty friendly with the parts manager at my dealership he hooked my up with a bottle free (probably 7 bucks)

the touch up paint works pretty well mine kinda blends more and more with each wash noticable but better than a sctach

or if you got the crazy money i dont have you could get it repainted hope i helped atleast throw out some ideas for you

Only thing you can do is plan on the arrival of many many more that vary in shapes & sizes. It's never ending, my '03 needs a respray on the bumper.

Try using some touch up paint from the dealer, followed by a light polishing with a buffer on a low speed to smooth out the finish. Wait a day or two before buffing.

Ahh the first paint chip...the cure for the "new car syndrome", we all go tru it. Mine was a double whammy, rock hit once and bounced back down to chip the hood for the second time.
I used touch up paint and used langka to remove some of the excess paint...

I drive about 450 miles every week.

If I showed you my front end you would be amazed. Nissan paint sucks.

i applied some touch up paint from the dealer but a little too much. Is there a way to remove the touch up paint and start over without taking off the clearcoat and paint off the rest of the car?

Whenever I use touchup paint, I make sure that I have a rag or towel near by to wipe it off if too much is applied.

If you applied too much and its already dried....doesnt sound good
