Default Manual Transmission Fluid Replacement

I had my manual transmission fluid flushed and replaced at the local Jiffy Lube yesterday, and today it is much harder to move through the gears...seems to get a little stuck like I am breaking in a new transmission. Is this a normal side effect of this procedure, or did they put some garbage in my car that I have to get replaced?

Any insight would be appreciated.

what type of fluid did you put in there? What viscosity?

I would never take my car to jiffy lube for anything. For all you know, they didn't do anything.

Our car takes GL4..and most places wouldn't know.

I hear ya - I never would have gone to Jiffy Lube when I thought I was keeping the car, but now I just don't seem to have the time or energy to put too much extra effort in, and Jiffy Lube is definitely more convenient. Of course now it is going to turn into a huge pain, so in the end I should have just gone someplace better.

Is there any long-term 'danger' to other components to using an incorrect viscosity?

Thanks.

Some say after a change, it shifts like butter, so I just used butter. It shifts like gear lube

Actually I use Motul

First off...a transmission flush on a manual is not possible. There is not fluid pressure to perform the flush like you would on an automatic. Yes if the incorrect fluid is used it can cause serious problems. The only service that can be done is a drain and refill.
