So...did you buy a new battery yet?

29,500 miles, in 3 months it will be 6 years. No problems. I use a battery maintainer in the winter storage, though.

For those of you that repleace with Optima Batteries was there any modification you had to do to the battery box. My battery just gave out and ive been looking to get an optima but every place i look at on line says, (modification, base) may have to be modified? Will it go in without modification? What all did you have to change if anything?

Nevermind, found what i was looking for.

Thanks

Just replaced mine on '03 Touring.

71 months in NJ... never on a battery tender. It had been giving warnings as the weather started to get cooler here. I was getting my umpteenth set of tires installed and when the shop went to start it they needed to jump it. I replaced the next day.

By the way... they make it a PITA to swap that thing out.
