Question Pumping Gas Issue

First of all I have done an extensive search and I have not seen a solution to the problem I am having...

I can go to any gas station, any pump, any state... The most gas it will take at any one time is .8 gal before it clicks off, then I have to wait 30 sec or so and then can fill it up another .8 gal... Does not matter if I hold the nozzle half in the tank, to the side, or pull the trigger half way...

I have done the shuttle valve TSB and it did not fix the issue. I have used a snake to make sure the filler neck does not have an obstruction as well. I am not sure what else it could be other than the little vent tube that runs next to the main filler neck. Has anyone else had this problem even after the TSB has been performed?

This problem started after the car sat in my garage for the winter, and the only thing that I changed was the cat back exhaust from APS to Greddy. I had to relocate the EVAP canister and am wondering if it could be related even though I am not getting any DTCs for the EVAP system or fuel psi in the tank.

Any helpful suggestions are welcomed! Thanks!

Mine does that occasionally too, even after the TSB. All that I do to remedy it is pull the gas pump out a fraction of an inch and start it again. If it kicks off I scoot it another fraction of an inch out. By finding the right angle, it eventually allows it to flow continously without stopping. I always know about where my tank was so I can watch to make sure the amount of gas I get lines up with how much the tank should have taken.

I got a 2008 Nismo and was having fill up issues as well. When I mentioned Costco, dealer said it was issue with high flow pumps at the Costco and not to fill up there if I wanted a full tank (ee thanks dealer, hey I save at least 10 cents/gal at Costco); seems to bubble up the tank. No problems at the nearby Tesoro with the lower flow pumps. So yeh, 3/4 tank and the nozzle shuts off. I tried the pull out the nozzle trick, dry the nozzle reinsert, varied the nozzle postion. Nada. You know what worked that someone mentioned here? Put in the nozzle upside down and fill up. I was worried the gas would spill out the tank but the pump sensor still shuts off. Not sure why, but I get a full fill up all the time now at any high flow pump; gage is above the full line. I gotta find that post and tell the guy that mentioned it thanks and ask how the hell he figured that out.

I read a thread a long time ago that suggested turning the nozzle between 45-90 clockwise while fueling. Works for me.

I have tried all of your suggestions and I have done the TSB for the flutter valve in the tank and I am still having issues with getting more than one gallon to go into the car at a time. It does not matter if I have a half tank in there or it is running on fumes...

Just wondering if there is any other reason for the tank to to fill... I have checked the main filler hose to the tank and there is nothing obstructing it. Like I said before this happened over night (well parked the car for the winter). Was filling normally now it is not.

there's no need to TSB this problem... i use to have that problem but not anymore...

best thing to do is tilt the gas nozzle gun horizontal (or slightly above) so that if you were standing behind the car while pumping gas, the bottom end of the gas nozzle gun will be pointed at your navel (depending on how tall u are). you can gas full throttle if you wish, and it will stop once it gets full. this works for all nozzles fitted with accordian style sleeve. i used to have this problem at Arco gas all the time, but no more....

My 03 has similar problems. I've found that if I back off of the pump handle trigger a notch, so the fuel pumps slower, it relieves the problem...
