Default Replacing Front Wheel Stud

Does the hub have to be taken apart or can you knock them out and replace them with just the brake removed and hub intact.

Rubber mallet...take off caliper, hammer out the brake rotor.

Hammer out the old stud, slip in the new one.

Some washers or open ended lugnut to tighten on the new stud and you're done. No hub removal whatsoever.

Like they mentioned, no hub dis-assembly required.

Remove caliper , remove caliper bracket , remove rotor, 5 pound sledge to the bad stud, slide new stud in place , install rotor and caliper, install 4 flat washers and open ended lug(flat side in, basically backwards ), have someone hold brakes, crank lug till tight, look at backside on hub to make sure the stud is pulled flush, and install wheel.

If you have one bad stud, i suggest buying a set of NISMO extended studs with proper lugs since you track your car.

if i press in studs with washers and a lugnut, the hub keeps spinning while i torque, do i have to slap on rotors and brakes to stop hub from spinning?

Is it true I can only use the lug nut once to press one stud? After that it goes to waste?

yes because if i slap the rotor on i cant see if the stud is seated i would have to remove rotor and check. i dont want to use the impact with my luck ill strip the threads. Im going to try with a ball joint separator method.
