Default Security light stays on...

Does anyone know what is the problem with security light staying on??
And how to diagnose it??

Yes... it used to flash but not anymore.. it stays on all the time...

Owners manual has a section on the security system. I'd start there.

I've read it all it said is to take it to the dealer if the lights stays on all the time..

The FSM doesn't specifically address the issue of the light being on all the time, but from the looks of it, the problem could be related to one of the door switches or the BCM has gone bad. That's probably why you are told to take it to a dealer, only they would be able to debug the BCM on the computer.

Did you get it sorted out finally? I have exact the same problem with my 2007 G35 - security light will always stay ON, when I drive or when car is off and not much help from the car manual.
