Hi guys
I'm trying to switch my car from regular to synthetic oil really soon, but I need some advice on a couple of things beforehand. I hear that mobil 1 5W30 is the way to go and I hear that K&N's HP1008 is the best oil filter. However, I hear different opinions on how much oil to put into the engine. Some say to fill it up, which is around 4.7 Liters while others say to put in less than that.

Any help/input would be appreciated

 

Your manual shows 5 quarts or 4.7 liters with a filter change.

well smart guy...why don't you tell me what our manual says about using synthetic oil in our cars?

I'm pretty sure that our "little book" specifically warns against modding our cars also...if you don't have anything positive to add then please do not bother commenting at all

 

wow...you SPOIL your z don't ya?? I'd love to spoil my car as well, but due to some budget restraints, I think I gotta go with mobil1, pennzoil, etc.
How often do you change your oil with AMSOIL?

 

haha seriously! I was just too lazy to go down to my company's garage and look it up. Isn't this what the forum is for?

 

I put in exactly 5 quarts. I use either Castrol Syntec or Royal Purple depends on my budget. And I use the OEM oil filter.

 

Im partial to Motul or Royal Purple with a puralator filter.
