Has anyone else experienced this? the clicking goes away when i drive, only when im at a stop, sounds like its coming from the resonator. any ideas?

really? thats what i was wondering.... do you think its a heat shield weld?

 

well if its light ticking, its just thermal expansion ans contraction of the whole exhaust system, flexing at the joints, etc. If its more of a rattle, then its a heat shield

 

its a pretty loud tick...... thanks for the input!

 

My cats ticked after taking the car through heavy rain/flooding. It went away in about 2-3 weeks. That's the only time I've had audible "clicks" or "pings" from the exhaust... and sometimes they were loud as hell.

It would even keep going for about 30 seconds after the car was off.

its probally rattling on your heat shield around the exhaust
