Default ramps for oil change

How many ramps do i need to do my oil change. Does the car has to be leveled ( with 4 ramps) or can i put ramps only on the front.

Thanks for all the previous help, but i was not sure

I usually like to have the car level so it drains well and not all over the place either.

So I usually drive the front onto ramps, and lift the rear with a floor jack at the differential (cuz rear is a lot easier to access)

Is the differential strong enough for the floor jack (differential material is aluminum based isn' it). Also, the differential bottom is kinda round

Funny. That's exactly how I used to do it when I lived in Piscataway and did not have a garage with a bunch of tools.

decided to try this interesting thing out for the oil change:
http://www.qwikvalve.com/home.php

Should simplify the process and minimize the mess. Anyone else got this?

Cool, and it would pay for itself in about 20 oil changes! I may pick one up for our ZR, which is a DD.

Sounds like extra unnessesary work if you ask me. Next time your under the car look at the design of the oil pan. Lifting the front actually helps the oil pan drain. If you were to lift the front, and then lift the front drivers side slightly more, it would drain even better/the best. Keeping the car level will not help the oil drain out. Having the car level is only important in filling the tranny and differential with fluid, and checking the oil once filled. Secondly, I dont see how having the car level would or would not prevent a mess
