Default Transmission Leaking!!!

Hey guys,

I was installing my nismo exhaust and sway bars the other night and noticed that my transmission was wet on the bottom, looked closer and it was leaking!...Does anyone know why this could be? I'm assuming I need to get this checked out ASAP, but if anyone had this issue before, any info would be great...

Thanks!

You didn't even mention if it was an AT or a MT. How do you expect an intelligent guess as to where the problem lies.

check the breather hose on top of the transmission, took me a 3 months to figure out where the hell my leak was coming from. it was overfilled by 1 1/2 quarts and would only leak when started under 30 degrees outside.

the only way to see if its the transmission breather hose is to start it when its under 30 degrees out and watch and see if it comes pouring out of the top of the transmission(you will need a flashlight). if its only doing it while its cold(as mine did) then im almost positive thats the problem. Z transmissions are notorious for being noisy and i believe they overfilled the transmission to try and quiet it before selling it.
