Well Sasha has done it again. The week started off great. Her front windshield wiper fluid finally started to work. No clue how that came about.

But the good news soon ended. Sasha decided that the music I was listening to wasn't good enough. She decided to lock my CD in the CD player. Every time I click the CD button nothing happens. When I click the eject button it just makes a clicking noise. Went to the dealer and they said the CD player is shot and needs to be replace for around $400 wtf.

To answer a previous question, yes, my car is an outdoor car. She usually never gets a shady spot and handles the extreme S. Florida heat with no window tints.

So can I just buy any old used 350z CD player or is it better to just buy a new CD deck?

Any more suggestions would be great.

Thanks

-Matthew

I have an OEM CD player from an 03. I think it's the graphite color though..

It's up for sale in the audio section.

Just saw it. I am really looking for a black one. Thanks though

Anyone know if a newer cd player will fit and work in my car? Saw some newer 08 oem cd players for sale but don't want to buy them if it will not work.

Thanks for the help everyone, Sasha thanks you as well. lol

Ouch that sucks. Tinting helps out a lot and I also put up a sunshade when its parked outside. My is probably 15% at the back and 50% at the front windows. My interior is in great condition. None of the fading and tearing issues that I've seen.

wow, what did you do with your interior???
I have a whole cubby for sale you if you want.
CD player in there is a big mistake from Nissan, so I'd recommend you to buy some aftermarket one. That was my first and necessary mod for the Z.

For your CD player. You can choose to either do a double din or single din aftermarket one. I put in a double din pioneer which will take play of the whole hole. If you do a single din you can have a second cubby right above or below the stereo. I suggest the double din. We have enough cubby's in the car already.
How much are you willing to spend for a stereo?

might have to get Sasha the number to the battered women hotline.

definitely all replaceable. Arm rest just pops out, buy a new cubby, the cup holders just suck but despite being a beeeeach they're a must a have in our models.... just look around, find some parts used somewhere and replace them... most are easy fixes...
