Default Car turns off after 1/4 mile run?

I was testing my gtech pro a few times and a few min after the runs my car will just turn off on me sometimes. Is it from driving it hard? Iv got a vortech supercharger. It was hot out 90 ish but it wasn't showing over heating problems. It will start right back up.

Do you have an oil and/or tranny cooler on the car? If not, then maybe the car shut itself down to prevent any catastrophic failure due to heat? I know these VQs can limit RPMs because of oil temp, but I'm not sure if they'll shut down.

I havnt done any more runs. I don't have a tranny or oil cooler. I would think though if it was over heating it wouldn't start right back up or I would show signs

If you're running a blower, especially a Vortech I would definitely invest in an oil and tranny cooler!! I'm not sure why it would still start right back up after you turn it off, but I do think that it's probably because you are running so much hotter it shuts itself down to protect the motor, but for whatever reason lets you start it right back up.

Ya I'm definitely gonna don this. Everyone is saying a oil cooler is basically a must with the vortech

ive heard that this sometimes happens with cars and the vortech having something to do with the air coming through the maf and exiting out of the bpv. its trying to accomodate for the air coming in but its getting pushed right back out. Also heard that u can get this fine tuned to stop doing this from a tuner. anyone else have any info on this? or maybe where ever i heard this from is completely wrong

Are you shifting into neutral and coasting from high speed? Common cause of engine stall.

Recommend raising idle RPM and stop driving like that.
