Default Cel / slip light...help!!!

I was making a left onto my street and it started sputtering, throwing CEL and SLIP... I pulled into the driveway then the car stalled in neutral... I've fired it back up but I had to keep the rev up for about 5 seconds for it to stay on.

I doubt it's batter related because I've gotten it replaced a few days ago.

Anyone with similar experience or any knowledge about this issue??

Thanks!!

Let us know once you've had the code scanned. Any Pep Boys, AutoZone, Advanced Auto, etc. will scan the code for free.

I've just performed the CEL code check procedure that one of the forum members suggested (pretty much same as to reset ECU). I've counted how many times CEL light blinked between each short paused...it was "3", "4", "5".

What kind of CEL code is that?

Thanks!!

You'll need to change the sensor or it will come back. Very common.

You can search for "P0345" or "Camshaft Sensor" to find more info.

An example thread that I found using Search: https://my350z.com/forum/maintenance...k-2-error.html

no prob. that was one of the first problems that I had with my car. exact same code.

Good luck, neither the camshaft or crankshaft sensors are that hard to get to if you have some wrenches or a socket set. It's definitely something that you can do yourself once you have the replacement sensor.

it seems like there was a re-call on Camshaft Position Sensor for '03 Z's. You think I can just call and take it into the dealer? perhaps they'll replace it for free???
