Limp mode?! Awsome!!!
Does anybody know how to put the car in the "limp mode" that I've read about in other posts? My girlfriend borrows my car sometimes and it would be awsome to be able to put the car in that mode when she takes my baby from me!!! I know, I'm evil.
And of course, I dont want to have to f--k something up to make it happen. Thanks!!!

In limp mode, the car won't rev over 2500 rpm and as just enough power to "limp" somewhere and wait for the tow truck.
Trust me... I know.
She would likely get t-boned the first time she tried to pull into trafic.

No way! Driving the Z up to 2500rpm is about the same speed as my sentra at full tilt, and that car merges just fine!Hehehehehe...
But seriously, is there no way to make the car go into this mode? Man that would be sweet...

I would not try this but just disconnect one of the wiring harnesses under the hood. Something "bad" is likely to happen that would put it in limp mode. Again, I am not suggesting you try this.
Try taking out 5 spark plugs, that will do it.
In all seriousness though, the car only goes into limp mode when the ecu detects something wrong. I don't think there is a way to put it into that mode. You don't want to, the car will not go over 30 mph. Think of your sentra at 2500rpm in fifth gear with the parking break on.... not fun I know.

In the Corvette ZR-1's (89-93or 94) they had a keyed switch to lower the power output. In reduced mode the engine horsepower was cut to 250, in regular mode it was at 405. It's pretty cool if you let someone borrow your car or valet park it.
