Default HELP! Engine GURUs, please help with po300 and po302

hey guys, need some help. My Z rarely gives me any problems since the day i bought it. Here is a little background.

Everything was fine. I just moved to a new house and i let my Z sit here for about three weeks straight without driving it. In this time, hurricane irene hit us last week with a lot of rain, wind, etc. but still, i never started up the car during this time .

the car was left with little gas. not where the gas light was on but it was low. Also, in this time , before parking it for three weeks, i had a really bad exhaust leak since i broke my exhaust piping. it was bad enough where it sounded horrible .

Well today i started her up tonight and the idle was bad. like it died a couple of times then i just revved her up and then started to drive. well the SES light came on and was blinking. I reparked and checked the codes..

p0300 - random misfires
p0302 - misfire cylinder 2

the idle is pretty damn bad right now. Should i reset my codes to see if it comes back on?

i'm guessing it could be

-bad gas/low gas wiht condensation
- a bad coil pack
- exhaust leak causing something

like i said, i park and leave my car there for long periods of times all these years of owning my car but this time the only difference is that i have a bad exhaust leak before parking it and also a hurricane hitting us.

any help?

Where is the exhaust leak. See if any of the coils got wet. I don't think ur gas went bad in 3 weeks. And the octane booster advice is just stupid. Can't hurt filling her up tho.

both flex pipes, the mid pipe has a big hole and the rear main muffler. pretty bad leaks. you can hear it pulsate from under the car before it started messing up.

weird thing is, i reset the engine light, the problem went away but not sure if its going to come back. didin't drive it but idle became perfect after i reset the light.

Yo..i had P0300 when i bought toby's z too. Mine was a vacuum leak in the intake manifold. You might want to make sure those bolts are tight. Also...my z does the same....I park mine for a week or two with out driving it. As soon as i crank it up...ses light comes on with p0300

I gota drive the car till the engine gets warm then reset the ecu. After ecu reset..... it usually does the trick...until i park the car again for a week or two.

with his engine, it's leaking because of that crappy gasket material that he used for it, lol. the bolts are stripped out.

i put in new gas, the car runs fine. i think i had some hillbilly gas in it from filling it up in the country area around here. i'm still going to get some new coil pack anyways. I never get problems with this car so i guess i get annoyed when something comes up.
