Default ticking ???????

Hi, i just joined in hopes that someone can help me out!! I bought my 2003 350z about 2 months ago. When i bought it, it had a slight ticking noise but wasnt noticeiable, as time went on it got louder and louder. I brought it to many places, one said the valves need to be adjusted, others said no the valves cant be adjusted and have no idea what it is. I went and put seafoam in the crankcase and changed the oil again with lucus. Still ticking!!! Any ideas?

Check exhaust pipe for any black carbon buildup or oily black substances. Is it clean?

the noise is coming from the back end of the driverside head. The ticking noise still follows as you drive.

The valves in VQ engines are adjusted by changing the lifters. They're available in different heights. See:
