Default Minor Accident, issue with broken oil pan :o

So here is the situation -

1. I got a 350z 2007 HR,
2. Got into a accident not my fault, hit a median and bumper, undercarrge got ****ed up.
3. In one of the pictures theres a oil pan, as you can see the upper and lower oilpan got hit.
4. Had a oil leak, radiator leak gotta get new radiator new bumper.

Had a question about the oilpan I found some parts, and tryin to see if there is any dmg to the engine, after the accident happened i shut the car off right on the spot and its been off since.

I'm ****ed i know this I hope it isnt a whole in the wallet.

as long as you shut the car off right away is should be okay... get a mechanic to take the oil pan off drain the oil obviously and look to see if anything is messed up. Inspect the oil pan and look CLOSELY for anything thats look weird, chipped metal etc. You dont want to replace the oil pan and then start the car and have a little metal piece in your crank or something

Looks like you're going to need a new one of these:

http://www.courtesyparts.com/11110-o...4_715_716_719&

I can't believe it's only $117. You might be able to straighten out the bottom pan, but it's only another $114 if it's bent too badly. Labor will probably be several times the parts, if you're not into major DIY.

As ch1215g said, do a close inspection of the block and clean everything up. Any small pieces you miss might get through the screen and into the oil pump, but won't get past the filter. It definitely won't do the pump any good, though.

thanks for the info winch, i was thinking of not buying it because it was rev-up, I made sure by asking the seller. I'll get that part and get it installed.

Why isn't insurance covering this, it wasn't your fault right?

Hate to say it, but this was no "minor" accident. The lower oil pan is usually well protected by the front crossmember and getting that big a hit means there's more damage than you can easily see. Just file an insurance claim and have an ASE or Nissan Master tech do a full assessment.
