Default Car died, barely started, shaking/rough idle. (Video)

So today I was at autozone getting a CEL scanned and got the code P1283. I then proceeded to go eat ad got into the parking lot, midway through a turn, the car dies. I try to start it and it wouldn't start until the 2nd or 3rd try. I then pulled into a parking spot and popped the hood, and the car was just shaking awfully. It sounded like a cammed Camaro. Lol, I know.. Anyways what in the world is this? Battery, maf, etc??? I recently cleaned my MAF and everything has been fine since (a week ago or so).

Car is a 2004 5AT with 69,000 miles.
It has intake, headers, md 5/16 spacer, and test pipes. exhaust came off last night due to selling it soon..

I had this happen once a long time ago with another car. I too was coasting through a parking lot and went to press the accelerator and the car wouldn't do anything. Then it died. I was able to start it up one more time but that was it. Come to find out it was the crankshaft sensor. Not sure if this is your problem but it could be a place to start looking.

This Z seems to be nothing but trouble for you lately.

It is nothing but trouble honestly. I'll look into that crankshaft sensor for a possible solution. Thanks.

+1 on camshaft sensor. Mine went out and they are known part to go bad on these. Sometimes it would turn off on me other times it would be fine. Easy fix though one ten mm bolt and it pulls out of the back of the head.

I'd hate to buy something, and it not be the solution. I'll most likely see what the dealership thinks it is and go from there.

I took mine to CIN in Charlotte to have it looked at and they checked everything and couldn't get the problem to reproduce. They did say I had a misfire in the 6th cylinder, but it wasnt to the point to where it should cause any damage. They cleared the ECU and since, it has been fine.

From what your saying its probably the cam sensor in bank 1 (Passenger side). They're known to go out. It happened to me a few months ago. I was driving home from work and all of a sudden the car died. Afterwards it would be really hard to start the car and even died on me again a second time after it finally started up. Scanned the code because my cel came on when i got home and that's when I found that it was the cam sensor. I went to the nissan dealership and they replaced it and even gave me a 1yr warranty on the sensor so if it goes out again within a year ill just hit up the dealership again.

Oh and what ever you do Do not try to skimp and get an autozone one. I did this and found out the hard way that it didn't even fit when i took it to the dealership. The OEM one looks straight where as the autozone one goes at an angle. Just go with an oem sensor, it may be more expensive but well worth it.

Autozone gave you the wrong side than, the driver side is angled while the passenger side was straight. But It is 100% cam sensor.
