Default Hatch not aligning properly....

SO I recently bought an 03 350z, and beforehand I noticed the hydraulic lifts weren't holding the hatch up. I asked them to replace it before I bought it and they did; now I notice an improper alignment between the hatch and the roof of the car. I was wondering if any of you guys have had this problem and/pr know how to fix this. It could be the hydraulic lifts, but I'm not so sure. Here are some pics for reference:

they were installed wrong. Just remove them and turn them 180 degrees.

Welcome and congratulations.

Yes I have seen this happen. Problem is:

Hinge assembly is installed upside-down.
Bracket for back door stay is installed upside-down.

For a little clarification on the "turn them 180 degrees"... they are referring to the bottom part of the hatch strut, or the "mount"... the part that actually bolts to the car. You will need to remove the two bolts and flip the mount because they are upside down. Thats whats causing the mis-alignment.

Thanks guys, that's exactly what was wrong. I thought the lifts were too long; I guess I was half right has the brackets upside down raise it an inch, lmao. Anyway, the Z looks so much not like $h!* anymore.

See we know some stuff around here. 90 percent BS but the other 10 percent is golden.
