Default What percentage should Throttle Position read at idle???

I have an 07 Z . I replaced my oem spark plugs with oem ones (Denso FXE22HR11) . Now after putting everything back on and replacing Throttle Body Gaskets I have a high idle between 1800rpm and 2100rpm after it warms up (when cold its at around 2200). I plugged in my Accessport to read throttle position with key on the ON position but without turning on the car and it read 15% even though I believe I did the throttle closed learning procedure correctly. After car is turned on and at idle , the Throttle Position reads between 17% and 18% as the rpms fluctuate between the above listed range.
What does your car read at idle?

Please help guys. I posted what I did just incase anyone is wondering but I'm interested in knowing what the Idle throttle position should be at before I go buying any parts or keep attempting ecu relearning procedures.

What I did :
1. disconnected negative cable from battery
2. intake rubber tubes
3. unbolted throttle bodies from intake manifold (did not disconnect them from harness)
4. replaced throttle gaskets
5. disconnected coil , replaced spark plug (14 ftlbs of torque ), reconnected the coil one at a time
6.rebolted on the throttle bodies
7.reinstalled the intake tubes making sure everything was nicely connected.
8. tripple checked all hoses were on good
9. reconnected negative cable
10. turned on the car

Right, I know my Idle is way too high. I was wondering what other people's Throttle position reads at during idle. I'm trying to find out the cause for the high idle.

are your sure you orientated your TB gasket properly. the tabs must go in the proper direction.

your idle is that high because you have a vacuum leak.

not sure what you mean? I simply placed the gaskets in and made sure the small tab poked out where the old one used to poke out from , Its that simple correct ? Its just strange that I would have a vaccum leak since I didn't disconnect any vaccum lines except for the one near the passenger side throttle which came off pretty easily so I know I didnt tear it (It also looks to be in good condition) .

Other thing I forgot to mention is that I had the battery disconnected (negative cable off) for 2 weeks before I finished because I was being extremely careful, had to wait for new gaskets to come in from dealer and had to wait for weekends to do this. Not sure if this somehow screwed up the ecu. I dont see why it would because besides the high idle everything else seems good, just seems no matter how many times I do the gas pedal relearn, throttle relearn, and idle relearn it doesn't seem to have any effect to the idle.

Curious as to why you replaced the TB gaskets? I've had my TB off several times and always used the original one ('03) and never had any problems. Did you do anything to the TB's?

I only replaced them because the shop manual said to do so. I still have original ones , I might put them back on if need be. The only thing I did was wiped a bit of the gunk of the passenger side throttle with a clean dry rag, didnt even really clean it off that much and didnt wipe the blades. Again the throttles seem like they are operating fine just not sure if 15% throttle position is normal when just turning key to ON position.

Well, if the car is performing properly, I don't think i would even worry about it then.

isn't there an order in which to re-tighten, sort of like the star method on your lug nuts? Upper left, lower right, upper right, lower left?

I read somewhere on here that disconnecting the battery over night to reset the ecu sometimes does the trick , if that doesn't work then I'll try reinstalling the original tb gaskets. Seems like high idle is common with our cars after doing anything with the throttles.

Thanks for all the Replies guys , honestly I think there should be a sticky on the forum specifically warning the hell out of people from doing anything with the throttle body(ies).
