Limited slip
Has anyone noticed the "SLIP" light coming on briefly while making a hard right turn, like pulling out of a driveway onto a road? With the VDC engaged, I have had this happen a lot lately. I can't get it to do it with VDC off. When it happens I double check in the rearview mirror to see if there was loose stone or a wet surface. But it happens on dry, tight pavement.
I am concerned that the limited slip is malfunctioning in this instance because the right rear tire slips and hops going through the turn.
I have not heard of this before; so if anyone has been through this, please let me know the cause and cure.

It's not your LSD malfunctioning, it is the crappy RE 040 tires slipping. You don't see the slip light with the VDC turned off because the traction control is turned off by the same switch. The reason you are noticing the slip light more recently is that the RE 040's become hard as a rock at anything below 40 degrees and have practically no traction. I can't pull out of my driveway in the morning without spinning the tires and it is only slightly uphill.

At least I am not alone on this and cold rubber sounds logical although disappointing that the RE40's are not much to brag about. Once they get warm, the problem goes away, .... I think. Thanks for the reply.
I too noticed the 'slip' light come on twice in the past week at the same location. It was very cold too. But not while making a turn. It was coming off a hill from a Stop sign and pulling out. What next??
