Default Windshield wipers issue

Hi

My windshield wipers move on their own when I put the key in the car. I think it tries to readjust itself downward when not in use.

Well, my wiper sat too low and it was hitting the cowl. I removed the wiper and set it a little bit higher to fix this issue. It did not fix the issue and the problem still remains.

Where is the wiper suppose to sit in factory position?

Measuring from the lower side of the end of the wiper arm where it connects to the wiper blade and perpendicular to the arm, it's 2.75 inches to the bottom of the glass on the driver's side and 3.5 inches to the bottom of the glass on the passenger side.

The driver's side wiper blade is angled up just a little bit (maybe 1 or 2 degrees).

The passenger side wiper blade points straight at the junction of the gaps between the A-pillar, the door, and the left front fender.

For some reason when I move them up it moves down when I turn the car on. It automatically moves the wipers into the cowl which is way too low. Any ideas?

Take the wiper arms off the car, turn the car on, turn on the wipers then turn back off. This will put them in the off position, reattach the wiper arms. Problem solved

That is some detailed ****! Out of curiosity, do you just have that in your head or did you go out and have a look at it?
