Default Switching to Synthetic oil at 40k??

I have a 2008 hr with about 40k on it. I had an issue with oil pressure due to clogging of some ports near the timing chain cover which was fixed by the dealer. Im wondering if I can switch to synthetic with 40k miles. Anyone know if this will cause any issues? Ive seen in other threads people making the switch but they all had lower miles.

I switched to synthetic at around 50k miles. At 85k now with no problems. I have a DE by the way; don't think it matters though.

You can switch back and forth between synthetic and dino without any problems. Synthetic oils don't cause the problems they used to, especially on newer cars.

Switched to full synthetic on my 04 Z at 84k miles. Put about 300 miles on the new oil and so far the dipstick reads perfect with no oil consumption.
