Hi my 350z has 53k miles and im the 2nd owner. Car runs great and is spotless, but my clutch pedal gets stuck when i push it in, i then have to manually push the clutch pedal with my foot, each time I shift. Of course it isnt like this the entire time, it stops doing that and then it comes back. Also not very often, but my clutch pedal makes a sound like its rubbing on something, kinda squeeky.

Spring?
Fluid? If fluid where is it located?
New pedal?

I hope this isnt going to cost some $$$

I know this sounds very remedial, but have you looked under the dash to see if there is anything that is catching the pedal? Maybe look for any wiring or other small items getting pinched in the moving parts of the clutch.

 

Sounds to me like you need to bleed the system and fill it with new Dot 3 brake fluid. I'm sure there are plenty of guides on how to do this on this forum or other 350z forums. If you still experience this problem after doing that then it can possibly be your slave cylinder. Change this AND change the master cylinder with it. (It took me about an hour to do both of these a few months ago on my 2003). I used my G35/350z Haynes manual to complete this procedure. I order my OEM parts from PartsGeek.com. I price the clutch slave cylinder at about $21. The clutch master cylinder will run you about $80 with free ground shipping from them. The only difficult task of the master cylinder is fitting under the small section in the dash. Move the seat all the way back and fit the best you can.

 

I think that the previous owner may have messed with the clutch adjustment. He probably wanted to have it engage a little closer to the floor rather than the top of the pedal stroke. I adjusted my clutch pedal too close to floor and the same thing happen to my pedal. it would basically get stuck on the floor and need to be lifted off.

I had the same issue with mine. It was a bad seal in the master cylinder. I replaced the master and problem solved. Hope that helps.

 

Have this same issue with mine currently as well. Already swapped the slave and replaced clutch fluid. I have always been almost positive its the master. But mine only does it when hot.

 

As the fluid heats up, it becomes more viscous and will seep past the bad seal more easily causing a squishy pedal. Mine was fine at start up, but got worse as I drove. I ordered a new master and clutch pedal is perfect now.

 

Get under the dash and make sure that the 3 bolts that hold the clutch bracket are tight.

not sure about 06, but 07 and 08 had a clutch slave cylinder issue that affected a small number of Z's it was on the TSB which was covered under warranty and seemed similar to what you are describing.
