SES light after Dead Battery, Please help
ok guys this is my first time posting on here so Im sorry if this question has already been asked, but i searched and couldnt find anything on it.
im sure the answer is easy but im just a little worried about my baby.
so the last few days my car, which is a 2007 350z enthusiast, has taken a couple extra seconds to start, i assumed i just needed a new battery but wasnt worried about it. so this morning i went to get gas before work, got gas, then my car wouldnt start. I got a jump and now my Service engine soon light is on. I ran the code at work, P0603, which basically means theres a problem with the power supply circuit i guess.
Could this light be coming on simply because i need a new battery, which is being installed right now or because there is a larger issue, like the ECU or a bad connection? My car has never had any issues before and was running fine after the jump, nothing out of the ordinary.
any help here would be great, im just a little worried and dont want to go back to nissan not knowing what im talking about.

It should be fine after you install your new battery. You weren't carrying enough voltage to the PCM, so it tripped the CEL. When in doubt about your battery, have it tested with a carbon pile load tester to see if it's still good or not.
The same thing happens if you use a quick disconnect over the winter. You get an SES light with a report of a short or loose battery post. If you want to get rid of it quick stop by an auto parts store that lets you use a a scanner and reset the system.
Hey! Sorry to revive this, but did the above work? I have a 2008 base that had the same problem (took longer to start and then just wouldn't start anymore). I had AAA jump it and then put in a new battery but I still have the P0603 code, which I looked up and it was regarding a memory error.
EDIT: I found this link: http://www.underhoodservice.com/Arti...er_supply.aspx
I'll give it a shot with a regular scan tool
