Default Passenger Door Won't Open!! Help

Happened to my drivers door months back...dealership killed me. Charged me 650 bucks for some door assembly bs. Look guys I've read almost every thread on this and it seems noone has found a DIY fix. I would like to know of anyone who has experienced this issue and how they resolved it?? I'm not about to go back to Nissan and get jacked.

Your previous problem was with the drivers door? The problem now is the passenger door?. What year and mileage is on your car? Am I correct in saying that when you had the drivers door problem it wouldn't open with either the fob or the key?

Please file a safety complaint with the NHTSA. The more people who file complaints against safety problems like these, the more likely it is that Nissan will feel the pressure to fix their manufacturing defects. Being unable to open the door due to parts failure is a MAJOR safety problem.

I'd check the door handle assembly first. I broke my passenger side a while ago and just replaced it. It's plastic and it's not out of the ordinary to have plastic break. There's a DIY for it and I posted very detailed pictures.

I know that this is old, but how in the hell did you get the door open to remove the assembly? That should be the magic question. My passenger door is currently in that situation. 2003 Touring
