I have a VQ35HR and I have problems with the oil pressure and I want to know if the oil pump is damaged, I did a test, take a line of oil in a turbo and I crank the engine and no oil came out, the pump will be damaged or in these cars does not leave oil pressure to start the engine, how could know if the pump is broken?

 

you check the oil and see if it has shards in it, your going to need to crank it quite a bit for any oil pressure too just cranking it a little isnt going to do much. why didnt you ask both questions in one thread? seems like you built a engine and already think you toasted it.
