First off I just bought my first Z 3 days ago, the other night I noticed a small pool of oil in my garage since then I've been paying close attention to see if leaked anymore. I've tried checking the horribly designed dip stick and it really wasn't showing any oil on the correct side of the dipstick. I added about 1/2 quart now my PSI is idling at 30 psi warmed up. I've used the search bar numerous times haven't had any good luck getting info, hoping to hear I'm just a nervous parent any help?

 

Not sure about the oil pressure issue, however i agree about the poorly designed dipstick. I had a hard time getting a good reading on that. The best way I found was to let it sit for like 4 hours before taking a reading.

 

I'm sure it's fine, maybe your psi sending unit is getting funky.

 

And since the oil pressure increased after adding a small amount of oil, the engine could be low on oil. You really need to check the oil to be certain the correct amount is in the motor. The dipstick may be a pain to use, but it is all you have to check the oil level.
