Broke the transmission on my Nismo 350z
So, long story short, I was trying to get out of the way from this lady who almost backed into me with her truck. Somehow it got stuck in 4th gear but the shifter is back in neutral. I can move it left and right and cannot move pass the shift gate to the right where 5th and 6th and reverse are, and I cannot put it into any gear. I inspected the shift linkage and everything looks normal with no loose bolts or nuts.
I have done some research and all I have read so far is the transmission has to be replaced? Lets for the sake of the argument that I do, is there any difference between a regular 2007 - 2008 350z 6 speed manual transmission compared to the Nismo 350z? I also looked this up and it seems they are just normal 6 speeds tranny.
I am not sure what to do here. comments are welcome.

There's nothing special about the '07 and '08 Nismo drivetrain.
If I were you I'd drop that baby down and look at some things before I sprung for a new or good used unit.

Agreed- if the tranny is jammed, a good tech should be able to assess and repair it. If it hasn't been too abused, the repair should be a fraction of the cost of a replacement.

I sprung for a new one.
New transmission from Nissan, Competition Stage 1 clutch with single mass flywheel. New CSC from Nissan and new CSC feed tube from Nissan. 4 bottle of tranny fluid from Nissan.
Total in part cost $2412.00.
Turns out the complete transmission assembly from Nissan comes with new CSC and CSC tube already installed, and it is even full of fluid!. Could have saved me $200 in parts if I only knew...
And Even on a brand new tranny, clutch, and CSC, it still makes gear chatter noise on take off in low RPM. My KA tranny on my 240s' don't even do that!!
