Default SES light came on Now it's off

SES came on and after about 100 or so miles it turned off by itself. I didn't check the code while it was on...should I still check it just in case? I might just wait for it to come on again

My theory:

My engine was a little low on oil so I added a quart then the light turned off after about 100 miles, but not sure a SES light would come on with low oil?

My car has been burning oil for so long like a qt after every 1.5k miles nobody seems like they have a solid fix for burning oil (I have a 2004 MT non rev)

It will probably come back. It's not uncommon for the SES to light-up, turn-off, and then re-ignite.

You can (and should) capture the codes. You will likely get one or more codes telling you the required repair.

I was thinking it's still there just hiding, I will go to AutoZone tomorrow and see what code it is and report it back here.

I bought the car with 78K miles on it and the SES was on, it was some EVAP thing- got that fixed now 110K miles later the SES was on for only a couple days. So I call that good luck...
