Exclamation Driver side seat is stuck, how do I move it forward?

Hey all,

My electric seat is stuck and wont move forward. So I cant remove the seat and Im rather uncomfortable when i drive.

Is there a way to "jump" the seat to get it to move forward? Im sure its the switch thats bad since it goes back fine, just wont go forward.

I wish I had manual seats.

Mine did this once before, it eventually just started working again though.
You can jump the switch apparently, not sure how but someone recommended it.
You can also try cleaning all of the connections and see if that helps.
I know I'm not that much help.
I wished I'd bought a Track model instead of the Touring when this happened, I cleaned everything and haven't had a problem since though.

I cleaned it before and it worked for a few weeks before it gave out again.

Can't clean it anymore since the seat is stuck in reverse!

You may be able to jump it in order to move it but it's probably time to replace some parts then.

Had this problem. Except mine was stuck all the way forward. Better to just get a new switch since cleaning it doesn't really fix the problem.

If you haven't figured it out yet, I will try to do some research while I'm not seeing patients today, I can't remember the thread I found at the moment.

its a simple electric motor, if going one direction works, you can just pull the plug and cross the wires and then when you push the switch forward, it will go backwards instead.
