Default A/C Relay Location

I know of the fuse box behind the battery, however the diagram it gives is only for the fuses and not of the relays that are back there. I have searched thru countless threads and everyone seems to say the same thing its there. However if you look their; are multiple relays. I checked Service manual with no luck as well.

Just trying to resolve my AC issue. Compressor turns on for 5-10 minutes then shuts down.

Thanks in advance for any help. Just need the diagram of which relay is what. Here is a picture of what I am talking about.

Why do you think it's the relay? I'd throw a set of gauges on and check the pressures.

Going to rent a set of gauges from Auto Parts store and check pressure. I've done the Freon and pressure always reads good on the gauge they provide. Just want to enjoy the Z on these hot sunny days.

By chance do you know what the pressure should read? I'm sure I can pull it up. Just nice to have in 1 thread.

Thanks for the diagram.

Don't know the pressures off-hand. I've never serviced the A/C on my Z, just my BMW and Alfa, and they're both using R12. The A/C relay is indicated to be the second one below the row of fuses, on the left side.

In that case, turn on the A/C and pull relays until the compressor disengages. Still not sure that's your problem, though. It could also be one of the pressure sensors, or too high or low pressure in the system.

Pressure sensors built into compressor itself? I'm buying the Gauge test today when I get off work to test compression. Went to 3 different auto parts store none for rent or sale. Found 1 at Harbor Freight.

As it turns out, it was the Pressure Sensor that goes on top of the reservoir. What a PITA to replace a 75 dollar sensor. It sits in front of the Radiator so Radiator has to be removed to get to it. Once I saw it, you can see clear as day what my problem was. The sensor was cracked at the board, and was barely making contact.

Glad you got it figured out and fixed. Is there a Schrader valve behind the sensor, or does the gas leak out when you pull the sensor out?

Parts guy at Nissan recommended the sensor, said there would be no pressure when removing. Well that was a lie lol my green shower can vouch for that. Heads up to anyone having this problem. Must have gotten damaged from a fender bender.

The pressure sensor is located on the condensor you do not have to remove the radiator you have to remove the core support its 1 piece the sensor will be on the passenger side of the condensor in between the radiator and condensor....
