Default Bolt snapped and right now I'm SOL

Hey yall I really need some help. Today I installed headers on my car (2004 350Z). It took a while but I was ecstatic. Then realized I had a coolant leak at the water coolant bypass. I need help taking a bolt that snapped off in the block. Included are some pictures of my predicament. Any tips would be appreciated. (I've already tried drilling a hole and using a reverse thread easy out but I couldnt start the hole.

try using a center punch, then use a small drill bit. you can work your way up to larger bits once you have a hole to work with.

I like the comments above but yeh, drilling a pilot hole won't be fun.
You can try a chisel and 3# short handle sledge, see if you can get it to turn by striking it anti-clockwise.

not bad. center punch and extract as mentioned above. Recently extracted a bolt and tapped new threads on my intake plenum. If you have a harbor freight near you they have a set for like $15 bucks. Don't forget the gasket right there when u reinstall the lines.

also what set of headers did you go with?

Default Finally fixed

I was never able to completely get centered in order to drill a hole and then use An easy out so instead I use a chisel and a hammer To bash in a flat spot and then I use a Craftsman screwdriver with a 12 point wrench Around it to crack the Bolt loose and then I was able to just use a flat head screw driver to back it the rest of the way out

Also I installed megan headers. It's going on 10 days now and ive had no issues.

I also just did my header install (Tomei), so I feel your pain. I didn't have any bolts (that mattered) snap on me. That must have been hell for you. Glad you got it figured out.

good to hear you got it sorted out. I was tempted on megan headers since they are so much cheaper. BUT the replacement if they were to crack at the welds would be a weekend's worth of work instead of simple catback work. hope they work out for you in the long run.
