Under the brand new TSB I just got two front tires and a "toe in" adjustment for no charge. Brought it home and discovered I had a letter telling me that Nissan had extended the tire and alignment warranty for a couple of more years. Makes me feel a little better.

Default Nisssan has responded

I got the official letter today from Nissan regarding the Tire roar and alignment issues which extends the warranty for 36 months or October 31, 2005 whichever comes later and unimited miles for all 2003 models, and 36months an unlimited miles for all 2004 350Z models. It also covers reimbursement for replacement tires that have already been purchased. The tires are prorated according to tread depth. It is a 4 page letter with details on what to do. You all should be getting these same letters soon. Myself I have had no problems yet at 5000 miles on my 350 perfomance model with the Potenza's 18 inch rims.

Now, I have to say that I went back and checked on the alignment issue, and they told me that that same warranty was only good for one alignment up to that time.

Is there anyone getting more than one alignment? Do you get a new alignment with each set of tires purchased?

Default Nissan Owns Up!

I have an early '04 350z and I just recieved a letter from Nissan saying that they are going to extend the warranty for the tire/alignment issue for another 36 months from October 31 2005 or the last service and unlimited miles. Has anyone else recieved this letter?

Default No letter

I just got my car back from it's 5th alignment since January of this year and the car still pulls badly to the right. They even replaced the compression arm this time per TSB NTB03046 to try and alleviate the pulling without success. I still have to bring the car back again due to clicking noise since the parts are back ordered. They verified my cluctch noise this time, but according to Nissan it's normal for my type of car. I guess the type being a "Lemon". It sounds like rocks in a paint can banging away when it starts during idling. I guess they don't know how to fix it so it's just now normal for the car rather than doing anything.

What year is the car ... and do you have a link to all the TSB's? I remember it being posted at one point but I can't find it now ...

I have a 2004 350ZR all options except 19" wheels. I used to have the website that had all of the TSB's, but I can't find it. I will spend some time later tonight and search for it.

I found this:

http://www.nissanhelp.com/Bulletins/Model.htm

Is that the one? It's not the one I had used before but it seems to be regularly updated ...

I just got my 2004 back and have a new set of front tires, no charge to me and I had 8600 miles on the first set. The road "roar" is gone. I had no problems with the dealer
and I will play a wait and see on the alignment issue.

Just got my second set of FREE front tires at 37K... After all of the hoops they made me jump thru... I am very disappointed with Nissan and the Z....

Hopefully my next track day will make up all the disappointment!

This is the life of owning a sprots car....HA!

Has anyone seen the announcement from Nissan saying that they have extended tire warranties for three years for 03 and 04 models, that they are reimbursing for tires, that they have developed a new Bridgestone for the Z? This is all stated in the latest issue of Auto Week, which says letters began going out to owners earlier this month. It seems to me this is a MAJOR concession on the part of Nissan. Nissan claims that alignment and the new tires end the feathering problems.
