You can clear them using this procedure http://www.technosquareinc.com/350reset.htm but I would recommend taking it to the dealer...

thanks teh. I went to auto zone and had them reset it for me. it was free. Hopefully that takes care of the problem. I was working on the radio and turned on the car while the white box was disconnect. stupid me.

Oddly enough, my service engine light came on around 20800, and about 400-500 miles later, it turned off by itself...

Same thing happened to me. I think it was because my gas cap wasn't on tight. I tightened it but it didn't go away until I filled up my tank again. That could of been it...maybe

There is an issue with the past ECU programming where the accepted range for the O2 sensor was too narrow. When readings were outside this range, the dumby light came on. Newer ECU programming increases this range to avoid this issue. This is what the service writer told me last visit (two days ago).

Would be prudent to mention that you should take it to the dealership to have the ECU reflashed if this issue continues... and don't mind going to the dealership.

Also got a problem with my ECU. Service engine light came on and did a diagnostic. The error code was 0651. Does anyone know what this means? Can't find the code in the manual so maybe I read the thing wrong. Does anyone know was a 0651 means if it really exists? I reset my ECU to see if it was a gas cap prob. Hope the light does not turn back on.

you might want to take it to your dealer. i had this happen to me about 2 weeks ago. couldnt get to the dealer for the rest of the week, and eventually the light went off on its own, but i still went to the dealer. turns out there is a TSB on reprogramming the Z, of course for free. you still may want this done cause I guess certain Z's emission systems are too sensitive, and if you dont get it done then it may just come back on.

My check engine light came on at around 8000 miles. It turned out to be that when I put the gas cap back on I didn't turn it to tighten it down. I screwed it in tightly, and about 50 or 60 miles later the light went off.

Do you happen to know the number of the TSB?

Thanks!

All you need to do is check the TSB section of this website in the repairing forum. its on the top of all threads in yellow type. The number is NTB02-115, the title has something to do with "EVAP LEAK" in it, and it has to do with reprogramming the ECM. Takes about 15-20 minutes. I do know its pretty VIN specific. It only covers cars built before 10/02. mine was one of the firsts, built in 7/02. hope this helps.

My engine light came on a few hundred miles after installing a JWT pop charger?

Fo I have to take it off prior to taking it to the dealer?

Has anyone with a JWT experienced this?

My check engine light went on when they repalced my valve cover gaskets at the dealer when I test drove it, the code came back as it being my throtle body which was replaced thay said it had a short.

Hey....My SES light just came on....I'm just under an 3/8th of a tank of gas, so I wouldn't THINK it's a "you didn't screw the cap on tight enough" issue, but I guess it could have worked loose?

Anyway, I went to the dealership, and they told me to just keep driving the car until my appointment on Wednesday. Kinda surprised, I figured I'd try the reset procedure once, and if it came back on, then no harm no foul......The light is off for now, so I guess we'll see what happens. The car is running fine.

I'm a little concerned that this might have to do with my GReddy EVO2 exhaust (The mufflers are so wide that the EVAP unit had to be relocated and reconnected to the exhaust stream) or my RT cats. Anything emissions related is surely not covered under warranty anymore.
