Default Dent removal tool

10 months i've had my car. 10 months of parking in the most careful of spots. 10 months of perfect paint. 10 months of no dings. All came to an end Sunday when i parked on the top floor in the rain of a 5 story parking structure to avoid other cars. One had to park way out by me and then throw its huge door into mine caving in a 3" area above my driver side Z badge, leaving 2" of white paint on my SB in the process.

So, do those TV pop a dent things work? I bought one at target tonight for $20 and i'll find out in the next few days. has anyone tried to use one?

Havent read anything on them on the boards, so i'll let everyone know how my experience goes. You'll all be in my place eventually unfortunatly sooner or later. I'll do photos and stuff. Stay tuned.

BTW-Also got a huge scratch in my hood earlyer in the week. Very light but LONG! About 2'. I'll be trying to help that with Scratch X. Once again, i'll take pictures and stuff. Wish me luck.

PS. When I got home that night I found that someone had pulled the car cover off my Managers BMW in the shop lot and busted his gas door to try to drain it. Not a good week for all our cars here. When it rains, it pours.

10/4. Already bought it though. Will take it back if it sucks. Need to try soemthing. Got a real mild one on my daughters hood. If it won't do that one, it won't work on anything.

Dang! I bought one too! Gus, it didn't do anything? Even for the smallest dent?

Not bad at all. You did this with the Pop-A-Dent tools?

The dent started out really bad as you can see. Almost as big as the Z logo. I started off with the large circle tool and used it about 8 or 9 pulls. It gets A LITTLE better each time.

The tool itself does a great job at contouring to the Z's body. It does a great job of makeing a disaster livable. Well worth the $20 but dont expect miricals, just sugnificant improvement.

Moved to the small tool for a few pulls to try and get the creases out. It helped alot but no way it's going to totally fix it.

I will try another 10 pulls or so next time. Still seems to get a little better every time.

It's funny, all these pictures make my paint look horible, but its just the pavement reflecting in the paint. I think I wax too much.......
Naw.
Anyway, then I took some X Scratch to it. That stuff works great! Fixed some other swerl marks on the car at the same time. Then I washed and waxed the area's I worked on.

Wow. Looks nice. I can't tell that you had a dent at all from that picture. Do you have a close up shot of the damaged area without the sun reflecting on it?

I've been doing paintless dent removal for over 10 years and it is possible to get that damage perfect. I recomend contacting a PDR company in your area. Anyone in northern Va. with this problem give me a call @ (571)233-1681. The company is Total Look Inc.
