HI, I am new to this site and love my Z. However I need some help. I have a 2003 Z and the brakes are squeaking so bad! I just got the front ones changed after only 11,000 miles and now they are squeaking again after a few weeks! Does this happen to yours?? Let me know. thanks!

 

My brakes squeek, but only when i'm going in reverse. If you had this problem fixed let me know how you went about solving it. THanks

 

My brakes squeal, but only when going at low to moderate speeds without any pressure on the brakes. Thats right, they only squeal when I'm NOT on the brakes! When I hit the brakes, the squeal stops.

Anyone know if this is brake dust or rotor edges? I took it into the dealership today, but Murphy kept the squeal away.

rtztoy I also had the my fronts changed at 10k but were warranteed because under 12k I hope you did not have to pay for those. But dissolved is right the Z brakes always sqeek this sucks.Emir there is a TSB for squeeky front brakes while going in reverse check it out they replace some outer brake shim.

 

My first 350 was an auto 2003.. the brakes were horrible! i had the fronts replaced at 14k because they made squeaks for about 2k miles and then eventually they started making a metal-on-metalish type noise when i didn't even have my foot on the brakes. I took it in and they resurfaced the rotor under warrenty but i had to have the brakes replaced in another 1k miles so that cost me about 300 bucks. Sold that one got another, manual, with 12k miles, no brake problems.

 

Mine too .I replaced them with Greenstuff at 21k miles now they do it too.Dealer says its normal.

 

disk brake squeal... part of life.... you can get some Wurth DBQ2000.. it's goo that you put on the back of the pads.. it works for a little while...
