Yes. The Sparco bottom mount 350Z specific rails do make you sit taller than stock (less headroom). I am 6'2" and I used to fit no problem in my Z with my helmet on. After installing the Sparco Pro 2000 seats, Sparco manual sliders on the Sparco 350Z specific rails, I no longer fit in my Z with my helment on. I had to get a local metal fab guy to take .5" height-wise away from the front of the rail and 1.5" away from the rear of the driver's side Sparco 350Z rail. That cost me another $90 on top of what I originally paid for the rail! The Sparco Pro 2000 seats are awesome and extremely comfortable for a track seat, but the shoulder "tabs" measure 23.5" wide and that is too wide for the 350Z. I had to move the seats closer to the trans tunnel to get the door clearence I needed (which meant drilling new holes in the sparco rails).

If I had to do it all over again, I would have purchased Cobra Suzuka S track seats (shoulder "tab" width measures 22.5") and I would not have waisted my money on the Sparco 350Z specific rails. I would have saved a TON of time and aggravation and just had my local metal fab guy custom make me rails! There has to be a better solution out there! The passenger side was the biggest PITA, but after all that hassle I wasn't going to pay extra to get the passenger side rails lowered, so anyone in the passenger seat sits higher than stock, but I'll never sit in the passenger seat of my Z so I don't care.

Hey man, love the car. Looks awesome! Can you shoot a good low level close up of the rear? I'm debating on how I want the Nismo rear's on mine (molded or just stuck on) and curious to see how the color combo works back there with what you did. Thanks,

friz

Thanks! What angle low-level shot do you want? Straight-on, quarter?

I probably wont be able to do it for several days. We just had a terrible rain, sleet & ice storm plus we are supposed to get heavy rain storms early next week. Hopefully after that...

Ever think anout blacking out your headlights also? I think it would flow very nicely with the current theme you have.

I have never seen a Z with its headlights blacked out. Have a link? I have seen the eyebrowls, but not the whole headlights blacked out.

I was thinking about painting the side mirror covers black though.

Both if you don't mind snapping a snot for me. No rush on time, I haven't ordered the rears or side yet and need to finance my suspension + v2 front and wing install...

Appreciate the pics.

I love the look man! Awsome job. The side stripes are unique and set the car off nicely.

Some quarter shots.

The guy Mike at Exotic Customs asked the same question. Cost more to get them molded, it looks like it came that way from the factory then, but any little "tap" in the bumper and that could mess them up. I think they look good just stuck on.

Thanks. I couldn't agree more.

(I haven't been getting any email updates about my own thread!... I hate when that happens.)

Looks great. Set of black rims, as everyone else said, would look great. I like the stripes a lot.

Yeah, my feelings as well (but I love the look of the molded!). I've been thinking of painting the area on the bottom rear of the bumper black (near the exhaust) up to the point it begins to curve vertical. There is a natural sort of division there and with the black sides un-molded it might tie the parts in better, that's my theory anyway. I was at the Z Nationals on Friday and didn't see any Nismo kits around to see first hand.

Thanks for the pics! Car looks sweet...

Get someone to PhotoShop that part of the bumper black for you to see to see what it would look like. Painting that part black isn't a bad idea, I would have to see what my car would look like with that part of the bumper painted black. I wanted to get my side mirrors painted black. Maybe I can find someone to photoshop those areas for me and see what it would look like?

But for me, actually getting those areas painted black wouldn't happen until sometime next year at the earliest. The last trip to the bodyshop was more than I anticipated on spending and I still need to get a 3M custom clear bra installed on my new V2 bumper and I still need to buy track pads and a TEIN EDFC controller for the track this year. I still have a LOT to get done on the Z before my first track gig this year in June. Car corner balanced and cemaber reset, tranny & brake fluid changed and the list goes on...

Default With Falken 615s

Got the Falken 615s mounted and balanced and foil taped the wheel weights (so they don't fly off on the track).
