2007 Nismo Z (silver) PICs
To tell you the truth when i first heard they were coming out with a nismo Z edition i was thinking about getting it.But then when i seen the pics for the first time i thought twice right away the front doesn't look nearly as good as the regular models. The rear i just have no idea what they were thinking im speechless. And the wing its not horrible but it just looks like it doesn't belong they pretty much took a Z which haves the nicest curves and lines of any car i have ever seen and added items that do not flow with the body of the car at all.
I never found out what those dampeners do...If they are designed to stiffen the chassis, why not just use a brace?
also, that second brace under the hood connects to fiberglass or plastic in the front? Is that just to support the big *** front bumper? or maybe downforce generated by it?

I ask the same question about the second brace. I ask why do you brace the plastic radiator support with a metal bar to the strut towers. It was explained there are other metal brackets underneath that ties it all together or something. The front does create more down force as well as the rear diffuser, according to the driver who did test it at NNA's AZ test track.
If you check out the Z race cars especially the #23 car at this link. You'll see the Nismo Z body kit. I suspect Nissan had to build some many cars in order to use the body kit they developed for racing.

As far as the dampers go, the chassis is stiffer than a normal Z chassis. I think the dampers take out unwanted vibrations to improve steering feel & response.

The Summer '07 issue of Nissan Sport Magazine will have a full article on driving the Nismo 350Z. That issue is in production as we speak and will be in the mail shortly! For those that haven't seen it, we have a few extra details on the Nismo Z listed on our website (see below).

As for the Nismo, I'm glad it's out but let's face the music.
It's a Grand Touring Z with:
1) Different Front bumper
2) Different side skirts
3) Different Rear bumper
4) Leather replaced with special red fabric?
5) A Number plate
6) Nismo exhaust
7) Front/Rear dampers
8) Powder coated GT wheels
9) Rear spoiler
10) Nismo badge/tach
If you don't like ONE of these, it's not impossible to get a BASE, and add all of these to your liking. Personally the only thing specific to this car I like are the wheels.
A bit of a let down that the power train was not improved.

I dont know, the car just looks cheap. It looks overdone, like a civic with too many Napa accesories. Its like nissan said, lets put as much stuff as possible on the outside of the car and make it a limited edition because no one in their right mind would buy it. With the price difference, i think an enthus. model with the right mods would be a much better ride.
*pukes* for the third time. God that thing is HIDEOUS, it looks like a F&F fan got together with the transformer creator and came up with the design.
