Plastidipped Stock Rims, Emblems, Painted Calipers

It is with great regret that I wasn't forced to give up an arm, leg, and $5000 for new set of wheels like the cool kids

My rims did not come out as glossy as I would have hoped, but despite the negative things 99% of the forum had to say about painting calipers and dipping stock wheels & emblems,
I really like how it came out, especially since this whole project only cost me $20.
Anyways, my Halloween Theme is nearly complete, Cheers!
Wow that's pretty special. Far to special for this thread - https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....56909&page=144 - so I'm glad you made a new one.
Sigh. Maybe that was a bit harsh. Sorry haha

I don't see what spray painting stock wheels and emblems have to do with $5,000 wheels. You obviously have different priorities with how you modify your sports car...like color-matched speaker boxes.
-painted calipers...........-10ft stopping distance
-color matched subs......+15hp
-plasti-dipped wheels.....+35hp
-plasti-dipped badges.....+5hp each

Personally I thought it was a bit tacky but somehow I'm still able to sleep at night.
As for the 5k Wheels, it was an attempted implication that "the more expensive something is the better" doesn't mean jack shaz
Take it for what you will
FINALLY, someone who gets it!
Haha.

my wheels were only 750 they have good offsets and look nice and i can put a bigger tire so i got more out of my 750 then plati dip could ever help you lil 17's
You are clearly the winner there bud, a $730 winner, if I may.

How will I live with myself, knowing that I could've wasted an additional $700!!
If you knew anything about tires, offsets and rotational mass - you'd understand that it wasn't a waste of $730. Your plastidip accomplished nothing performance-related therefore the only one who wasted money is you.
ill tell you what when your ready for some real parts hmu im show u have the big boys roll i myself do it on 19's wheels with 275's in the rear to help my uses all my 299.9whp
lmao tell me about it, main reason i sold my Z last year
nowadays $750 set of wheels for the Z is too expensive
So they head to the nearest arts and crafts store for mods
Maybe if the OP wasn't hating on people who actually spent $ and time on their Z, this wouldn't be so bad.
