Osix David ran a 13.4 on street tires, you needed drag radials to run 13.5 Start practicing...

 

David, your scanner must get a workout...

.. Bert, I've only run my car 4 passes... You know I'm new to the whole drag racing thing, don't be bitter because i'll be in the low 13's my second time to the track with the z, EVER! How many passes did it take you to run 13.1 on SLICKS? Well let me put it this way, how many times had you run your car stock or modded before you ran that 13.1? I'm taking a stab in the dark here but I'm guessing you had been drag racing for well over a year. Yes 13.5 on radials is horrible It's ok though because you're gonna be standing right there when I run a 13.2, which is one tenth of a second slower than you ran with SLICKS, more mods, a lighter car, and years more practice... Or you'll be standing there when I break my axles and everyone is laughing at me.. I wish you we're still N/A lol. It's ok I'll still have fun even if I don't get into the low 13's, I've come to grips with the fact my car is slow..

13.4 on street tires, that's impressive!

 

I know a couple guys off that list actually.Some fast street cars on there, but none beat the 9.23 on the hotrod mag street car shootout.

 

Charles and Mantis as my witness, my first pass on slicks was a 13.13 @ 107 followed by a 13.16 @ 106-hows that for consistency And btw only needed a 1.96 60ft to do it, your hitting the same short times and running .4 slower down the 1/4....be nice and I may give you some pointers. Your really building yourself up here, if you dont run low 13s you'll be a smack talking non driver

 

13.2 sounds a little crazy for me... but I am expecting to run a 13.3 after a few passes..

I didn't mean how many passes that day, I meant how many passes in all did you have under your belt with the Z overall before you went 13.1.. I was just stating the fact that you had alot of experience with the car before you ran those times. I on the other had never had the car on the strip until that day, and only had 4 passes. So I'm a non-driver that went 13.5 on radials his first time out.. At MIR I'll be a non_driver his second time out that goes 13.3..

Pointers... Dude, you're the man and I love hangin out with your punk *** and drinkin and what not.. I know you on a some what social level, so I'm open to any help you wanna throw at me.. but I'm not gonna lick your a s s , and call you the king or anything lol!!
