Default Damn Hail!!!

I just got back home from route 7 around ashburn area and got hit by half inch diameter friggin' hail!!! Ugh! I've had my 06 for only 7 months and now she's de-virginized by hail!

I checked my car and so far didn't find any major damage. Although, it's hard to tell because it's too dark in my garage. I'll check it tomorrow morning and hopefully (crossing fingers and toes...) I won't find any dents.

To all of you who live in NoVA and MD...they're calling for hail tonight so better keep your Z under a shade.

Check in the sun tomorrow for dents.

Good luck's on your side then my friend.

It happened around 8'ish or so. It was sunny and dry on 28N by dulles town center mall. My sister's following behind me on our way to leesburg outlet, then as soon as we got off the ramp going into 7, it started pouring hard. The moment we passed by Ashburn Village we were welcomed by hail. I called my sister and told her I'm turning around and head home. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any shelter due to traffic. I'm not sure how long it lasted since I turned around the moment I felt the hail pounding on my roof.

Boy! There goes my goodnight sleep! I'll be thinking about my car until I actually get to check for dents in the AM.

Bummer!!!

It hailed here a bit but it was pee size, less than 1/3 of an inch.

I am SOOO glad that the Z got trailered away this morning. I could just see me trying to explain to it's new owner that it was obliterated by hail....

I'm with ya Sporty. This weather is crazy. Soooo much rain.

So, before I left for work...I pulled my Z out of the garage and checked for any dents.

For now, I found a tiny one on the C pillar (passenger side). It's hardly noticeable unless you look at it closely.

I will wash my car late this afternoon once I get home and continue with my search!

kcobean - sorry to hear about your Z. I saw the official 'going away thread' for your beloved z. However, congrats on your new ride though!

Most likely the car survived the hail. But check the hood carefully. Aluminum is more easily damaged then sheet metal.
