Sorry to hear about your Z man. As everybody else said be happy that at least you didn't get seriously injured. Almost got side swiped last night. Dude veered into my lane but my cat like reflexes (I am a Leo you know 
) saved me once again. I always drive sensibly and take extra care but there is always going to be that one idiot on the road who's not concentrating or start driving all crazy. Anyway hope your baby's not too damaged and you get everything sorted out. Good luck.

why would you need to worry about your Gap insurance? The other drivers insurance has to PAY OFF your car, not what it is worth, what is owed. If you have modifications to the car you can also claim those through his insurance. If they start giving you a hard time, just get a lawyer and you will win big due to the circumstances (you being at a stop light and all).
unless there is more to the story that you are not telling
