I'm taking a driving school last night and tonight with my gf who has to take it(and I need to so my insurance goes down), but you can only take the course every two years. I wanted to make sure that I wasn't wasting my time taking this class so I went to the DMV this morning(got up at 630 and got to the DMV by 715, stood outside in the rain) to get my driving record. I got up to the clerk and gave the guy my license and he brought up my record and said my license was suspended. I asked why and he said it was because of my motorcycle tag not being turned in and insurance being cancelled. So I showed him a receipt I had, showing I turned in my tags, but then that wasn't good enough b/c then he brought up something on his screen(which you can't see) saying that I didn't turn the tag in ''On time'' so there was nothing he could do. I said that when I turned in the tag a lady at the Tyson's DMV said I was ok. So I was like wtf? Well how do I go about fixing this/getting my license back? He replies that I need to pay $585 and fill out an SR22 form. So I say fine, here is $600 where is this SR thing and he goes I can't accept that which pissed me off. I said why can't you accept my money, I want my license here is your money, you all seem to feel like the DMV is a good way to get money from me and you seem to love to hold my license hostage here is your money give me my license back. Then he gives me the SR22 and says I have to have this filled out b/c now I'm ''High risk'' and I was like, ''What in the hell does that mean?'' I have insurance I'm insured and now you're telling me that my insurance is going to go up because you classified me as high risk? He answers yes with a smug little look on his face and his f*ckin eyes popping out of his head(ever seen that lady on Guiness World Records, like that but he wasn't trying to) and one eye looking at the ceiling and the other looking at me and I lost it.

 

I just went off on him and told him I was going to tell his boss that he wouldn't take my money which seems to be the the DMVs main priority nowdays(not necessarilly in such a nice way). Then suggested that if they want more money they should just ask by raising taxes instead of trying to nickel and dime or just straight hustle me and they'll probably get a much better response. Anyways the damn DMV can kiss my *ss and I can't wait til I can transfer or things go well with soccer and I can get the f*ck out of this state. Va is officially FTL as far as DMV, inspections, and Police(they typically suck anywhere but here they are worse, much worse especially FFX County, Vienna, and Herndon).
EDIT: My insurance went up. I just added my 240 and it cost me $225 and an extra $160 a month. I was expecting my insurance to go up but not like that. F*CKING DMV...I would love to punch him right I his frog face with his googly *** eyes right now-too bad that's a felony. Cocky people who have sucky jobs and try to flex on you or abuse their power over you for the one second they can need to just roll over and die.

lol not too long, I type fast and I haven't got anything else to do. Sitting in a Dr. office waiting to hear what's wrong with my foot. My planatar(tendon on the bottom of your foot) is messed up b/c I was running three miles a day on top of playing soccer everyday and then a goalie slide tackled my foot and it's been jacked up for two weeks now. So I wasn't in a good mood to start with and the little indian guy with the crazy eyes/shaped head just made it worse. He didn't have to tell me I was SOL with a cocky smile and offer me no resolution to the problem.

 

I agree the DMV is ridiculous....i just paid $549 to register my car for the year the other month. Theyshould just have someone at the front door punch you in the face as you are walking in, that way the no lube bum raping they give you a minute later will seem like it hurts less because of that punch in the face.

 

Yeah dude they tried that **** on me once, I got lucky and the lady at the counter *waived* the $500 dollar fee. PHEW!!!!! SR22 puts u at high risk on insurance for like 2 or 3 years, something like that. It means your premiums are a hell of a lot higher then normal. Sorry to hear that man !

The DMV is the biggest, most diabolical part of the Communistwealth of Virginia. You wait in line for hours, all the while noticing that only half of the service windows have someone working there...

"Now serving D3 at window number 2".. and you have D49 Don't forget about the A, B, C, and E's that have to process through too!!!

And the best part is, they tell you that you are missing something AFTER you wait in line for all those hours. Lets not forget, they just raised all of their fees too, so you get a reach around after the **** raping.
