also, it seemed like a lot of Mida people are 'og' or have owned the cars for extended periods of time. it's natural to move on, as well, in the car modding scene there tends to be very impulsive people (and overspenders...) so you get alot of turn over.

more cheap parts for the rest of us LO!

+1 on the cheap parts. I don't think I've ever ever bought new until this weekend. Bought the exhaust new, that and my shift **** haha.

All the parts on my Vette were used as well

haha I was going to reply with the same exact question, but figured I would just comment on all the part outs

Another thing: part out FEELER??? This is the lamest thing I have ever heard. What a **** tease. "Here, let me get your hopes up and then MAYBE sell". Either post to sell or don't even post. Freud says that if you even mention something, your mind is pretty much made up on what you are going to do, so you should just do it and avoid beating yourself up with a pointless debate

Heh, I haven't started my thread yet but I like the question. I think other than the "unexpected financial issues" that seem to pop up, the winter is just a good time to get rid of the Z. Probably explains the rash of part-outs right now. My own thread is coming as soon as I can get the parts off, the weather is a factor in deciding to do this now as I really won't need the backseat in my new car for another 8 months or so. (I think you guys can figure that one out)

Regarding what car I get to replace the Z. I'm really bouncing between the G37 and the 135i.....Evo X is maybe in the picture, but even though it has grown a bit it still not quite doing it for me, maybe a drive in it will. We'll see. The G is available now though whereas the other two will be a few months out from showing up at the dealers so the G may just win out for that reason. I do have a beater that could hold me over though so no rush to decide.

Was that enough details for you?

Cool man, thanks for the report I am just curious as to what everyone is up to, no dissing intended!

Good choices on the next car; I too am curious as to how the next Evo will drive, though I am certain we will hear: "no where near as good as the previous gen", but of course anyone says that about something newer. The 135i is going to be interesting as well, but I think I would rather step up to the 335i, though thats a nice jump in price.

So far we have a Z owner progressing to:

Evo X
G37
135i

Interesting to see what everyone will get in to after the Z

So many people are parting out because the RWD is not winter friendly. Imagine if Function:Tuned starts offering that AWD conversion service to the public, we'd all be keeping our Z's. Come on Dave!!!
