Resolution from Nissan finally on 06 oil prob.

According to the Service Manager at my dealer thats almost 3 qts represented on the dipstick, so figure its probably a little bit more then that.
It's best if you take it in and have them document the current oil level and then have them change it and monitor the level.

Went today, and had to schedule an appointment, so I'll be back there, bright and early on Wednesday.

^^ Get a loaner, it will be there for a while. Just make sure u speak with the service manager before you leave to make sure both of you are on the same page and GL!

Update:
Ok, so I went to the dealership today. The service manager was the one who wrote up my slip. I specifically mentioned to him that it appeared that I was losing about 1 quart every 1000 miles. I just changed my oil about 2 weeks ago, drove a little over 1000 miles, and am about 1/2 way between H and L on the dipstick. I specifically told him that I used 5 quarts of Castrol Syntec, Full Synthetic, in 5w30 weight. He has the tech work on the car, and the guy topped it off with CONVENTIONAL OIL!! WTF! the service manager didn't even write down what weight or type of oil I was using. But my service advisor said it won't hurt anything. Just drive it for 1000 miles, and come back. She also said DO NOT TOUCH THE DIPSTICK. Let us check it.

Damn, I swear I don't know how people stay in business.
They act like they don't listen, or care rather. I would call
up Nissan Consumer Affairs, I have opened up a case with them
regarding my vechicle. They will usually contact the dealer and
make sure they are doing what they are supposed to be doing but
how effective it is..........beats me. I got a call from them yesterday
after waiting for a day regarding my options if the engine does in fact
need replacing. I should have some type of resolution shortly. I would
hope you call and open up a case with them as well GL

I can't say that I'm happier as I'd recognized my Z to have same problems but at least relieved b/c of this acknowledgment. I went to dealer last week to claim this problem and he immediately interjected with a surprise and states that he's never heard of such...
I almost coughed BULLSH1T to his face but just corrected him that there were many of us who shared this experience.
now, it's just a work effort to bring it back to stock...
Where can I find this TSB you guys are talking about....so I can wave it in their face.

^ Yeah its crazy, they think that because the car is a performance machine that it will indeed drink oil like an irish man at a pub lol

Ok Guys so after about 500 miles of mostly highway driving, work/home.
I have taken a ruler using MM's and measured the amount of oil that went
BUH BYE! I was a bit surprised to find it 5MM low after only 500 miles of driving sooooooooooo called Victory Nissan and I will be taking it back in tomorrow ................joy! According to some other threads up in the "Engine" part of forums it seems that a drop of 2mm in oil in 0 to 500 miles is a "No Good" area, if thats the case then my car is well beyond that lol Ill keep you guys posted as I hope this helps others besides myself.

Hint...downshifting eats more oil than granny driving. Brakes are optional....lol. Either way...for $30-$40K We should be able to run these cars at least as hard as you can run a honda....go figure...

^^ lol thats what the service manager chick told me, that downshifting is whats causing the burning up......somekinda back pressure!?

Hidding with an APS Tall Boy and AAM 3 inch single..car is stout man...C5,M3 and EVO8 with minor bolts ons now have read the GZILLA tag from the rear..
all on the track of course.
